Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Taiwan
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is the monument which was build to honor the Chian Kai-Shek. This well known monument is situated in Taiwan, in a big park and both the side of the monument there is National Theater and National Concert Hall. The whole square is situated close to Presidential Office Building.
After the death of the former president, on 5th April, 1975, Executive Yuan of the Taiwan government started the Funeral Committee in order build the memorial. After a big competition, Yang Cho-cheng was selected for designing the monument. The Construction of the Chian Kai-Shek Memorial Hall was started on April, 31st, 1976 and it was completed on 5th April, 1980. Chian Kai-Shek Memorial Hall is standing at a height of 70 meters and all the walls of the memorial are painted white.
