Dragon and Tiger Pagodas Taiwan
Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, is situated in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is a seven tiered structure with colorful paintings of hell and heaven and of the twenty four obedient sons. In the year 1976, the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas built. The scenes illustrated in the colorful paintings are meant to serve as the deterrent to those who lead disobedient lives and also an encouragement to those who follow the path of justice or righteousness.
The entrance to the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas is through the mouths of the dragon and tiger sculptures. Chinese considered that entering through the mouth of the Dragons is good luck since it changes the bad luck into auspicious. Some of the tourists believe that entering through the mouth of the dragon and exiting from through the tiger mouth is considered as luck.
