Is Taiwan a Country
Taiwan has struggled for a long period of time to achieve its freedom from China. There is a conflict between the ruling party of Kuomintang and the Democratic Progressive party and both the parties claim that Taiwan is currently under their control. The Democratic Progressive Party has declared Taiwan as an independent country but this has not been accepted by Beijing.
The DPP has declared that Taiwan should not be called “the Republic of China” anymore and has appealed to the Taiwanese people that they should stress on the name ‘Taiwan’ to the maximum. Most of the countries and the international institutions such as UN have not recognized Taiwan as an independent country yet.
