Taipei 101 is also known as Taipei Financial Center, it is a skyscraper situated in Taipei, Taiwan. This skyscraper ranked as the tallest building of the world from the year 2004, until the opening of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, in 2010, in Dubai. Taipei 101 skyscraper was designed by C.Y. Lee and partners. It was mainly constructed by KTRT Joint Venture and several other subcontractors such as Samsung C&T.



Taipei 101 has won several awards; in 2004 the building won the Emporis Skyscraper Award. Taipei 101 has a total of one hundred and one floors above the ground and five floors underground. The owner of the Taipei 101 is TFCC and it is managed by Urban Retail Properties Corporation which is located in Chicago. This building includes several restaurants, shopping centers, clubs, government offices and lots more.
