Taiwan Food
Food culture is one of the main aspects which describe the country and its people. Because of its ethnical diversity, Taiwan has a number of varieties to serve its tourists. Local awareness has only added flavor to this diversity and has made it all the more dignified.
Taiwanese food can be divided into eight categories such as Hakka, Holo which is called Minnanese also, and vegetarian food which has various cooking methods. Varieties from the mainland of China are also included as Hong Kong (Cantonese), Hunan, Sichuan, and Jiangzhe (from Zhejiang and Jiangsu province). In a nut-shell, one can say that the Taiwanese food is influenced by a variety of its economic, geographic, and cultural conditions.
