Taiwan Traditions

The population of Taiwan is around 23 million which consists of the Taiwanese, the Han Chinese, and people from nine other aboriginal groups. People in Taiwan primarily speak Taiwanese as well as Mandarin. There are other aboriginal dialects as well which form a part of their daily conversation.

The culture of Taiwan is a mix of the traditional culture and the new technology development and bears influences of both the traditions - from the East as well as from the West. In this culture where tradition and modernity co-exist, there are streets where fresh produce and Chinese Herbal medicines are sold along with the most modern items sold by the newly developed shopping malls.
